ACCOUNTABILITY & TRANSPARENT LEADERSHIP FOR TITUSVILLE

Let's restore trust in city government by ensuring decisions are transparent, accountable, and responsive to residents.

  • Open, honest communication with residents

  • Clear visibility into city spending and priorities

  • Leaders who listen and respond to community concerns

  • Ending the perception of backroom decisions and inaction

Our city works best when its leaders are open, honest, and responsive to the people they serve. For too long, many residents have felt unheard and disconnected from the decisions shaping our community.

I am committed to bringing transparency and accountability back to local government.

That means clear communication about city decisions, responsible oversight of public funds, and leadership that actively listens to residents. Every voice matters, and every decision should reflect the needs and priorities of the community.

When we lead with accountability, we rebuild trust and create a government that truly works for the people.

INFRASTRUCTURE & ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY

We can fix what’s been neglected; starting with critical infrastructure that impacts public health and the environment.

  • Invest in and modernize the water treatment system

  • Prevent sewage spills and protect the lagoon

  • Prioritize long-term solutions over temporary “band-aids”

  • Ensure safe, reliable drinking water for all residents

Safe water, reliable systems, and environmental responsibility are not optional; they are essential.

Our city’s infrastructure, particularly our water treatment system, has been underfunded and patched together for too long. This puts our health, our environment, and our future at risk. It is time to prioritize real, long-term solutions.

I will advocate for responsible investment in infrastructure that protects our drinking water, prevents sewage spills, and preserves the lagoon that is central to our community and quality of life. We cannot continue to rely on temporary fixes for permanent problems.

Taking care of our city means taking care of the systems that sustain it.

STRONGER COMMUNITY SUPPORT SYSTEMS FOR ALL TITUSVILLE RESIDENTS

Together, we will build a city that better supports families, vulnerable populations, and those in crisis.

  • Explore solutions for emergency shelter for women and children leaving domestic violence

  • Expand support for unhoused individuals

  • Improve access to community resources and services

  • Ensure preparedness for storms and emergencies

A strong city is one that supports its people, especially in times of need.

Through years of working with local families, I have seen firsthand the gaps in services that leave too many without the support they deserve. From mothers facing crisis situations to individuals experiencing homelessness, our community needs stronger, more accessible resources.

I will work to explore and support solutions that provide emergency resources for families in crisis, greater support for vulnerable populations, and improved community preparedness for storms and emergencies.

We can and should be a city that looks out for one another.

Now, I’m running for city council to make sure every voice is heard and every family has the support they deserve."

About Darcia

I feel called to serve this community in a greater way; with integrity, compassion, and a commitment to doing what’s right for Titusville.

I have proudly called Titusville home for more than 21 years. Originally from Indiana, I built my life here alongside my husband, Gabe, and together we are raising our three children—Paxton, Charlie, and Kayzlynn—in the same community we are committed to serving.

Titusville is more than where I live. It is where I have worked, served, and invested in people for over two decades.

I recently celebrated 21 years working at Dixie Crossroads, where I have had the opportunity to connect with so many members of our community. Earlier in my career, I spent seven years as a Sales Manager for Upstart Products, where I managed a sales team, handled data and operations, and gained valuable experience in organization, leadership, and problem-solving. I also hold an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Anderson University in Indiana.

But my greatest work has been in the community.

For more than 13 years, I have been deeply involved in supporting Titusville families; especially mothers.   I served as the Coordinator for Titusville MOPS (now MomCo) for over four years, where I led monthly meetings, built a leadership team, and expanded opportunities for connection by launching evening meetings for local moms.

I also co-founded and continue to help lead “Let Mommy Have a Minute,” a local North Brevard mom community created to meet the real, everyday needs of women seeking support, connection, and encouragement. What started as a simple idea has grown into a meaningful network for countless families.

In 2021, I began volunteering with Lasagna Love, preparing and delivering meals to families in need. Through this effort, and with the help of my church and local volunteers, I have been able to serve more than 150 families in our area. This experience has reinforced what I have always believed: when we come together as a community, we can meet real needs and make a lasting impact.

My commitment to service extends beyond Titusville as well. For the past 12 years, my family has been actively involved in VisionWalk Jacksonville, helping raise more than one million dollars to support those affected by vision loss.  These experiences have shaped who I am: a listener, a problem-solver, and a committed advocate for my community.

I am running for City Council because I believe Titusville deserves leadership that is accountable, transparent, and focused on serving the people. I will advocate for our community, work to address the issues that matter most, and lead with integrity in every decision.
